Kvyat not finished with Formula 1: "I know I can fight for the World Championship"

After Daniil Kvyat was dismissed from Red Bull Racing in 2016 in favour of Max Verstappen, he returned to Toro Rosso twice. The Russian doesn't give up easily and now that he is replaced by Yuki Tsunoda, he won't again.
For the season 2021 there is no place for Kvyat in Formula 1 due to the announcement of Tsunoda. He has had a total of three chances from Red Bull and in the end has been found to be too light. Nevertheless, Kvyat has the courage to return again, and not just to make up the numbers. Last season he already sees proof that he can do more.
Kvyat aims for a top team in 2022
"Pierre made it very difficult for me this year and his victory somehow overshadowed all the good things I did," he says to Motorsport-Magazin.com. "The last few races and qualifying sessions have been very strong, which is a good basis for a return in 2022," said Kvyat, who sets the bar high for himself.
"I feel like a much more complete driver now, performing 100% even under high pressure. That has been a problem for me in the past. Only now do I feel ready to always drive at the highest level. If I had the chance to be part of a top team, it would be a completely different story. I know I can fight for the World Championship in the right car," says Kvyat, who thinks his experience in 2022 (new rules) may be important.
