Ferrari occupies top three in F1 test Abu Dhabi, De Vries most productive

Ferrari ended the Formula 1 tyre test in Abu Dhabi with the three fastest times. Carlos Sainz was the fastest man, followed by Charles Leclerc and Robert Shwartzman. Max Verstappen finished fifth, while Nyck de Vries put in the most laps.
Ferrari fastest, De Vries most productive
Ferrari holds the complete top three after the test day at the Yas Marina Circuit, which also saw many rookies in action. Pierre Gasly followed the Ferrari drivers with a fourth time, just ahead of Verstappen. Behind him, Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant finished sixth and seventh respectively on behalf of Williams.
De Vries set an eighth time and was the most productive driver of the day. He drove no less than 151 laps in the AlphaTauri car, where he has secured a permanent seat for next year. For the Mercedes W13, the new Pirelli tyres did not prove to be a strong match. Lewis Hamilton and George Russell closed the test with a 17th and 23rd time respectively.
