WATCH: Hamilton involved in astronaut training in a fighter jet
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton swapped his W15 for a fighter jet, piloting the plane as he took part in some flight training that is used by astronauts as a part of their training.
The Mercedes driver, who said he has always been "fascinated" by space, described the experience as "wicked", getting the opportunity through luxury watch company IWC Schaffhausen, which Hamilton is an ambassador of.
At the beginning of the video made by the Swiss watch company, Hamilton is told that he would be at the front of the plane, piloting the jet that has been used to train and prepare crews of the Inspiration 4 and Polaris Dawn commercial human spaceflight missions.
Hamilton then got buckled into his seat, and he was also joined by students from Dibia DREAM which is a non-profit organisation fostering STEM education. Watch the video above to see the Brit fly through the sky while controlling the fighter jet himself!
