Lewis Hamilton zorgde weer voor behoorlijk wat ophef op de sociale platformen vanwege het al dan niet ophouden van Max Verstappen en Sergio Perez. De Mercedes-coureur zegt het zelf niet opzettelijk gedaan te hebben, maar op het internet blijkt duidelijk dat niet iedereen het daar zomaar mee eens is.

#HungarianGP IT's pretty clear what's happening. On track and in the race HAM cannot beat Max, so he crashes him off or sabotages qualifying by creeping around so slow everyone's tires are cold.

Lewis Hamilton, starting on the mediums, will go for the one stopper. Max Verstappen, on the softs, will do a two stopper and hunt Hamilton down in the final laps.

So many slamming Hamiton for driving slowly on his out lap? Red Bull could have gone early or have gone past the Mercedes. Hamilton knew the only way Verstappen could improve on his time was to get a tow. Hamilton just didn't play ball!
