Watch Verstappen's spectacular first lap at Monza here

Max Verstappen started the Italian Grand Prix from seventh place, but it no longer seems to matter how far away Verstappen is on the grid in 2022. Watch footage of his impressive first lap here.
Verstappen impresses
After overtaking races in Hungary and Belgium, Red Bull Racing again opted to change one of Verstappen's engine parts in Italy. This time only the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), which meant the Dutchman only had to surrender five spots. A second time in qualifying thus became a seventh starting spot.
In just one lap, however, Verstappen had worked his way up to third place on the Monza circuit. Lando Norris had a lousy start in front of him, but Fernando Alonso, Pierre Gasly and Daniel Ricciardo were also easily passed. He would later pass George Russell and Charles Leclerc (in the pits) to win at the Italian GP.
