Perez doesn't wanna talk about fight with Verstappen: 'We'll see on Saturday'

For the first time in two years F1 returns to action in Mexico; usually a good circuit on the calendar. Sergio Perez, Mexico's hero from Guadalajara, will be in front of his home crowd for the first time this weekend in a car that allows him to drive at the front.
"The promoter is trying to put up grandstands somewhere else, but there's just no more room! Friends are calling me and want tickets, but I just don't have them!", explains the crowd favourite. There will be many Mexican fans present to cheer Perez on this weekend. Many fans were already in attendance in Austin as well.
Earlier today Perez let it be known that he does not expect to fight with teammate Max Verstappen. During the press conference, he is asked if he has discussed this scenario with the team. The Mexican makes it clear that he hasn't and that there is no point in talking about such hypothetical things. "I don't see why we have to talk about this. We will see on Saturday how it goes and if it's still worth it to have a conversation about this", he is quoted on Motorsport-Magazin.com.
Saturday will be crucial for Perez
According to Perez, qualifying will be the most important because overtaking is difficult at the track in Mexico. So far this season, weak qualifying sessions on Sunday have regularly put him in a bad position. Especially in Mexico, Saturday should go well. Perez knows this himself.
"I need to have a good Saturday because it's very difficult to overtake here. It's very much on the brakes and the engine, it's a tough race if you're not in the lead. I need a good qualifying."
