F1 calendar updated: Changes to races in Turkey, Mexico and Brazil
- GPblog.com
Formula 1 keeps shuffling with the calendar for this season and the sport will now see 22 races this year, rather than the originally scheduled 23. Races in Turkey, Mexico and Brazil have been pushed back a week from their original dates. This was confirmed during the third and final free practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix.
It was known for a long time that Japan wouldn't be visited this season. Races in Turkey, Mexico and Brazil have been moved back one week.
In the new calendar, there is still one gap, on November 21. Which Grand Prix this will be is not sure yet but rumours are that it will be the Qatar Grand Prix. Negotiations are at an advanced stage but the contract still has to be signed officially.
