Verstappen impresses: "Super happy to be on pole here at home"

Max Verstappen has impressed in the qualifying and races in recent weeks. Also on the Red Bull Ring for the Austrian Grand Prix, the 23-year old Dutchman has so far been a master this weekend. The Red Bull Racing driver took pole, ahead of the Mercedes boys.
"It's been a very good weekend. I think in qualifying the car was really good to drive," Verstappen told Johnny Herbert in an initial reaction."It wasn't easy to drive a good lap with all the traffic in the last two laps. The first lap in Q3 was good enough in the end, it was a good first sector. I'm super happy to be on pole here at home."
A lap of the Spielberg circuit is completed in less than 1 minute and 4 seconds. "If you look at the track there are not many corners, but the ones that are there are difficult. It's a small track, but it's hard to get a good lap. The first lap in Q3 wasn't too bad, it's never perfect, but it was good enough."
Verstappen expects exciting GP
The starting position for Verstappen is excellent Sunday, but he is guarding against the Mercedes. "It's never easy. I wish sometimes it's easy," he laughed."Tomorrow is going to be exciting. Hopefully, it will be as interesting as in France."
