Tanabe and Honda motivated: "It is special for all of us"

Honda F1 chief Toyoharu Tanabe is very confident about the next two Grands Prix to be held at the Red Bull Ring. Especially with recent wins still fresh in his mind, Tanabe hopes to see a Honda engine at P1 again in Styria.
Max Verstappen heads into the first Austrian Grand Prix weekend as leader of Red Bull Racing after winning the French GP. Normally France is the domain of Mercedes, but they were dealt a hefty blow by the Austrian team at Paul Ricard. "In France last Sunday, Max took a brilliant win, with all four of our cars performing well", said Tanabe at the site of his employer.
A special home race for the whole team
In addition to Verstappen, Sergio Perez also finished on the podium and Pierre Gasly in the AlphaTauri finished a respectable seventh. But Tanabe can't enjoy the good performance for long, because a week later the GP of Steiermark starts. "This is a home race for Red Bull and it is special for all of us" said Tanabe referring to Honda's first win in the hybrid era in 2019.
"It means everyone is very motivated to get the best possible result this weekend. We come here off the back of three consecutive wins and it is encouraging that we won at a conventional race track like Paul Ricard, as well as at the two street circuits prior to that," concludes Tanabe.
