Rosberg: 'Mercedes has to come up with a solution for the rear'

If it were up to Nico Rosberg, Mercedes would not be competing for victory in Monaco. The Silver Arrows struggled with the tyres in the streets of Monte Carlo.
Mercedes is already done according to Rosberg
"It looks to be game over for Mercedes," Rosberg told Sky Sports F1. "They just don't have the grip out there and can't get the tyres to work. They're really up against it." Rosberg doesn't see his old team making a turnaround any time soon before qualifying.
"They need to come up with a solution for the rear end. Maybe they can reduce the engine braking a little bit. Then they create less oversteer, but they have more understeer. Mercedes is in the thick of things," Rosberg concludes.
Disappointing weekend so far
In the practice sessions at Monaco we didn't see a single Mercedes finish in first place. In Saturday morning's practice, Valtteri Bottas finished fourth and Lewis Hamilton seventh.
