Perez sees opportunity from second spot on grid: 'We have the other strategy'.

Sergio Perez out-qualified Max Verstappen for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. In his first Q3 appearance for Red Bull Racing he pipped his Dutch teammate. With a second-place on the grid and a different strategy, Perez has plenty of chances. The Mexican will start on soft tyres on Sunday, unlike his teammate Max Verstappen who will start on mediums.
"I think first of all I have to say well done to the team. Yesterday I did a mistake and I made them work hard during the day, so it's a good recovery. But the most important is that we are showing progress. I never expected to be here today. We have been improving," explained Perez after qualifying.
Chances for Perez from the front row of the grid?
"I should have been on pole today. I did a mistake on my lap in the final corner, so I think everything positive we just have to make sure we keep progressing and tomorrow is what matters. I think anything can happen tomorrow. We are on a different strategy to Lewis and Max. So, we will see what we can do," Perez concluded.
