Drivers standings: Ricciardo reinforces P4, Albon drops back even further
- GPblog.com
After the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is one step closer to his seventh world title, with which he will equal Michael Schumacher. He is 85 points ahead of his teammate Valtteri Bottas. Max Verstappen is now unable to win the title.
Tension mainly found behind top three
Verstappen's failure also means that Bottas gets an eighteen point gain on the Dutchman. The top three, therefore, seems to be fairly fixed. Behind that, it remains exciting. Daniel Ricciardo is doing good business by taking his second podium in 2020, while Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez also score good points in the battle for third place.
Alexander Albon drops to ninth place in the championship with fifteenth place and has just one point more than Pierre Gasly who dropped out with motor problems. Daniil Kvyat adds twelve points to his total score but wins only one place over Sebastian Vettel.
