Alexander Albon held a dramatic Grand Prix at the Nurburgring. The driver of Red Bull Racing was not able to make an impression and dropped out halfway through with an engine problem. The most striking thing about Albon's race was the colission with Daniil Kvyat, for which he received a penalty.

Robert Doornbos is not impressed: "You can see what a thin line it is between passing through or a flat tyre. Albon really comes down here like a fool. He already had a bad start and locked a tyre. He almost loses control of his car and then touches Ricciardo. Both are really lucky that they didn't pick up any damage," explains the Dutch racing driver on Ziggo Sport.

Hulkenberg next to Max?

The crash with Kvyat did not go down well either. "Albon overtakes him, but wants to get back in position for the last turn. He just cuts him off and ruins Kvyat's race and almost his own. It really is a low point for him. Especially when you hear his onboard radio: 'They're racing too hard against me', that's really odd to say. This should be the twenty best racing drivers in the world," says Doornbos.

Giedo van der Garde thinks this is Albon's last year at Red Bull. "He will stay in the car this year, because the team has said that they will give him another chance this year. But I keep saying: 'Throw Albon out and towards AlphaTauri and just put Hulkenberg next to Max.'" With this he contradicts Nico Hulkenberg, who expects it to be a small chance that he will drive at Red Bull next year.
