Verstappen admits P3 was probably the best they could hope for
Max Verstappen took third place during qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix. That performance equals the expectation of the Dutchman, who is well behind the two Mercedes drivers. Although he has to start from P3, the race on Sunday offers good hope. The racing speed of the Red Bull Racing driver seems very strong again.
"It's the maximum we can do at the moment. We've been P3 all weekend, so I'm happy with it. I hope we can do a little better during the race tomorrow and be closer. The long runs looked good," Verstappen explained after qualifying.
"It's hard to say anything about that right now. I did feel comfortable in the car. I hope to put some pressure on them. I know it's hard to overtake here, but our goal is to make it better. to make it difficult for them," said the Dutchman.
