McLaren "not leaving anything to chance" in constructors' battle
- Tom Mason
McLaren are 34 points clear of Renault in the constructors' championship but they aren't resting on their laurels and know that anything can happen in the final four races. The team have largely turned their attention to next season already, but are wary of not letting Renault overtake them.
"We have to keep getting the most out of it both at the circuit and at the factory, Andreas Seidl said as quoted by formule1.
“So we cannot leave anything to chance. Everything is still open.
Carlos Sainz is currently sixth in the world championship, three points above Pierre Gasly, so there is still plenty left to for McLaren to play for in the final races of the season.
Lando Norris is a little further back in 12th but has a good chance of finishing the season inside the top ten as he's joint with Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez who occupy 10th and 11th currently.
