Max Verstappen refused to answer questions during the post-qualifying press conference for the Singapore Grand Prix. In doing so, the Red Bull Racing driver made a clear statement to the FIA, after they imposed a community service penalty on him for using the word 'f***ed' during the press conference on Thursday. Here's a full transcript of the exchange in the press conference.

Verstappen answered the journalists' questions in the press room but did not elaborate. He, therefore, requested the media to ask their questions outside the press room. Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris backed Verstappen, and Hamilton even urged him not to perform his community service penalty. Read below all the questions put to Verstappen in the press conference and how the Dutchman answered them.

Verstappen refuses to answer questions in FIA press conference

What did you change overnight?

A lot.

Can you elaborate?

No, I might get fined or get an extra day [of community service].

Are you confident of the race pace?

Maybe.

How much of the race is a step into the unknown given the problems you had in practice?

It's an unknown. This is not about you, don't worry. I don't want to upset you.

Can you just tell us about lining up alongside Lando in terms of the championship battle and your tactics in the race?

I will find out tomorrow.

I know you won't elaborate on what the changes were, but how much of those changes were learning from what happened in Baku?

I would prefer if you asked these questions outside the room.

What happens if the behaviour in this press conference triggers another penalty?

How long do you anticipate that you won't be giving answers in the FIA press conference for?

I'm answering. Just not a lot. Problem with my voice.
