The glitz and glamour will be on full show throughout the day for the biggest occasions in Formula 1. On the track, the season is hotting up. The hometown boy Charles Leclerc and Ferrari qualified in P1. Oscar Piastri is right behind him in P2 and will be looking to force a move into turn 1, and Leclerc's teammate Carlos Sainz will start in third. Max Verstappen and Red Bull will only start in P6 after a very scrappy showing on Friday and Saturday.

Will Leclerc make it count in the principality?

Bad luck has hampered Charles Leclerc throughout his home race. He has lined up on pole twice in Monaco, but he has never stepped on the top step. Will today be the day? After topping every practice session, he did it when it mattered as well, taking pole position ahead of Oscar Piastri and his teammate Charles Leclerc. Lando Norris will start in P4 and will be looking to force his way onto the podium, and the Mercedes of George Russell will be looking to cause of hassle and force his way onto the podium as he starts in fifth.

Red Bull left reeling

Behind Russell is the Red Bull of Max Verstappen. Like in Imola last week, the Red Bull had a very poor Friday in practice. However, instead of finding the pace when required, Verstappen's RB20 did not do that. Instead, he could only go the sixth fastest, way off his usual pace, meaning the three-time World Champion will struggle to find the podium. The Dutchman complained after the session that the car would not turn and perform well amongst the bumps and kerb riding at Monaco, and he said this was a fundamental issue, so a repeat of what happened in Singapore last year may well be on the cards again.

His teammate, Sergio Perez, found life even harder. The Mexican was knocked out of Q1 and will start the Grand Prix in P16. Behind Verstappen is the other Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. Yuki Tsunoda in the VCARB will start in P8, and it was a great Saturday for both Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly, who were both able to find their way into Q3 and qualifying in P9 and P10, respectively.
