Max Verstappen has won the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. The Dutchman had to fight hard for it this time, with Ferrari and McLaren hot on his heels. However, Verstappen showed why he is a three-time world champion and thus gets the top mark.

Verstappen: 10

Max Verstappen more than lived up to his star status in Imola. With a car that certainly didn't look the best this weekend, Verstappen squeezed out pole position and held off Norris in the race.

Norris: 8

Lando Norris was beaten by his teammate in qualifying, but managed to be the only one close to Verstappen in the race. After a difficult start, Norris had the pace to close the gap in the closing stages of the race and made the GP exciting for a while.

Leclerc: 7

Charles Leclerc drove a solid qualifying and race. The Monegasque did make another mistake in the Variante Alta, losing some ground on Norris. After that, he never came close to second place.

Piastri: 7

Oscar Piastri drove a strong weekend in Imola, heavily hampered by his grid penalty. McLaren should have guided Piastri better in qualifying to avoid hindering Magnussen. In the race, it was tough overtaking for Piastri, but he made the most of it with a good undercut on Sainz.

Sainz: 6

Carlos Sainz did not have the pace shown by his teammate this weekend. Leclerc was too strong this weekend in both qualifying and the race.

Hamilton: 6

Lewis Hamilton had a colourless weekend in Imola, finishing in the highest possible position for Mercedes. That he finished ahead of his teammate was due to a late pit stop for his colleague, though.

Russell: 7

A solid weekend for Russell who was again faster than his teammate. It does result in fewer points than hoped for.

Perez: 4

A dramatic weekend for Sergio Perez. With a Red Bull, you should never drop out in Q2, especially when your teammate starts from pole position. In the race, things did not go smoothly for the Mexican either, going through the gravel at Ravazza, losing even more time.

Stroll: 6

Lance Stroll had a good weekend for Aston Martin resulting in a couple of points. There might have been a little more in qualifying, but the race was solid from the Canadian.

Tsunoda: 7

A strong performance from Yuki Tsunoda who once again outclassed his teammate. The Japanese driver flew in qualifying and deservedly kept a point.

Hulkenberg: 6

Just short of points for Nico Hulkenberg, who did put in a good performance in qualifying. The German got some help from Verstappen and repaid that service in Q3.

Magnussen: 6

Kevin Magnussen saw his qualifying fall apart after being hampered again but still moved towards his teammate.

Ricciardo: 5

Daniel Ricciardo drove to a good qualifying but fell back a bit in the race. The difference between him and his teammate in qualifying and the race will worry him.

Ocon: 6

Esteban Ocon was the best Alpine again this weekend, although that was still a long way from the points positions.

Zhou: 6

Guanyu Zhou was fairly invisible for Stake but did finish ahead of his teammate in the race.

Gasly: 5

Not a strong weekend for Pierre Gasly who again qualified and finished behind his teammate.

Sargeant: 5

Logan Sargeant, not for the first time, failed to set a time during qualifying. The American drove an otherwise invisible race from the back of the grid.

Bottas: 5

A meagre performance for Bottas. Still faster than Zhou on Saturday but far behind his teammate on Sunday.

Alonso: 4

Fernando Alonso's bad weekend started with his crash in FP3. His car was repaired, but in Q1, things went wrong again for the Spaniard. In the race, the two-time world champion could not make a difference.

Albon: 6

Alexander Albon barely got to race in Imola due to a problem with his car. On Saturday, however, the Thai had again squeezed everything out of his car.
