Even with Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell not finishing (and with Logan Sargeant not even present at the start), there were once again no points for the Alpine team. The French factory team will have a particularly tough time in 2024, but at least the admins of the racing stable's X account have good humour.

Pierre Gasly finished 13th in the Australian Grand Prix, whilst teammate and compatriot Esteban Ocon crossed the line in 16th and last. Once again, the team led by Bruno Famin could not make a breakthrough, yet, there was one bright spot.

On Lap 4, both Alpine drivers overtook Max Verstappen, for the first, and perhaps, last time this season. This, of course, was because the Dutchman drove at a slow pace to the pit lane and saw his race end there. At Alpine, they wittily capitalised on this by writing on X: 'Double overtake onn Verstappen!'

Alpine is one of the three teams without points in Formula 1 after three Grands Prix. Only Williams and Stake F1 team are also currently have zero points.
