Max Verstappen has been voted the best driver of 2023 by Formula 1 drivers. All drivers had the opportunity to vote for the best drivers of this season and surprisingly, the world champion once again came out on top

At the end of the year, Formula 1 organised a vote among F1 drivers. Each driver gets to name the top ten drivers, including himself. The top ten from each driver receives the same points as distributed after a Grand Prix (25,18,15, etc.), and these points collectively make up the top 10.

Who were the best drivers of 2023?

Verstappen has been named the best driver of 2023. With 19 wins from 22 Grands Prix, this is not surprising. Never before has anyone been as dominant in an F1 season as Verstappen. Despite finishing second in the championship, Sergio Perez comes tenth in this ranking. The Mexican bagged two places compared to last season.

After Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton is the best driver of 2023 according to drivers, succeeding Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque drops to fifth in the rankings. Fernando Alonso has made considerable progress in the list. The Aston Martin driver finishes third this year. In the top 10, we further find Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, Alexander Albon, Oscar Piastri and Pierre Gasly. The latter two are in the top 10 for the first time.
