F1 World Championship Standings after Dutch GP: Alonso gains on Hamilton
Max Verstappen won his ninth F1 race in a row, and he celebrated at home in The Netherlands. Teammate Sergio Perez missed the podium, which means that Verstappen is 138 points clear in the championship. Alonso catches up to Perez, finishing in second place and setting the fastest lap.
Verstappen is now on 339 points. Perez is far behind, with 201 points. Pierre Gasly takes a big step up in the championship by taking his first podium for Alpine. He rises to tenth place, one point ahead of his teammate, Esteban Ocon.
