Marko responds to Hamilton: 'Can't keep bringing Abu Dhabi 2021 up'

Formula 1 will return for the first time to the circuit that hosted the last controversial race of the season in 2021. Max Verstappen won the world title there in the very last round. Helmut Marko reacts to Lewis Hamilton's recent statements that the final was rigged.
It has been a year now, but F1 is still talking about the events of the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Because of Michael Masi's decisions, Verstappen had a chance to overtake title rival Hamilton for victory on the final lap of the race. The Briton was in the lead for most of the race until a safety car arrived following Nicholas Latifi's crash.
Ahead of Abu Dhabi, Hamilton described last year's final as rigged. Marko reacted to the seven-time world champion's statements at Sky Germany. "Well, I don't understand that at all. The race director decided. The fact that two cars were not unlapped would not have made any difference."
Abu Dhabi 2021 should be history
Hamilton himself did not want to answer questions about Abu Dhabi during the press conference on Thursday. Marko also does not want to dwell on the events of a year ago. "We are looking forward. The championship has been decided. We cannot keep bringing up this subject", the Red Bull Racing adviser says.
