Red Bull not succesfull: Verstappen stays in 7th place
- GPblog.com
For a while there was hope, but Max Verstappen will start from position seven. The race committee sticks to the starting grid as it was officially announced earlier on Sunday morning
Jonathan Wheatley, the team's sporting director, went to the race committee on Sunday morning to convince them that Verstappen should indeed start from fourth place. According to Red Bull, their own regulations were not properly adhered to when determining the grid line-up.
Five places
Verstappen has to move five places back on the grid because of a part change in his engine. But because of the penalties of some other drivers he could also move forward again, was Red Bull's thought. But the protest was not honoured.
This is and remains the starting grid!
Who wants to see a starting grid? Anyone?
