With qualifying for the British Grand Prix behind us, it is time to look at the qualifying duels again. Max Verstappen has increased his lead over Sergio Perez, while Lewis Hamilton has levelled things up with team-mate George Russell.

What is noticeable this year is that most teams are not so exciting at all. Only Mercedes is tied, and the other formations are always at least 7-3. No driver has finished ahead of his stablemate in qualifying on all ten Saturdays in 2022.

Charles Leclerc, Alexander Albon and Kevin Magnussen come closest. They were all able to lap faster than their teammate eight times out of ten. Pierre Gasly, Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen did so seven times.
