Red Bull Racing is in top form. The team have won the last six races in a row, but Christian Horner knows it won't be easy at Silverstone. The Red Bull team boss says in conversation with Sky Sports F1 that the Austrian team will be watching out for Ferrari and Mercedes.
Watch out for Ferrari and Mercedes
Red Bull started the first three races with several dropouts, but since the fourth race of 2022 the team has won everything. Despite this, Horner is not sure Red Bull will win again in Britain. "We've seen Ferrari at tracks like Barcelona be strong. We're hearing of a big upgrade for Mercedes as well," Horner revealed.
Championship lead
Horner is asked about how Max Verstappen feels as he returns to the place where he flew into the tyre stacks at 51G in 2021. "He's arriving back at Silverstone as the reigning world champion, he's leading the drivers championship," is what Horner says in response. However, the 48-year-old Briton knows that this could just turn around, and he refers back to last season's British weekend.
"Our focus is on getting the best out of the weekend, the best out of the car and seeing how we fare against our opponents," says the Brit. As well as leading the drivers' standings, Red Bull also leads the constructors' championship by 76 points over Ferrari.
