Ferrari filed a protest against Red Bull Racing after the Monaco Grand Prix. According to the Italian formation Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez had crossed the white line in the pit lane, but the race direction did not agree. Binotto nevertheless found his team's move understandable, he told the press conference, among other things, to Formule1.nl.

"It was nothing against Red Bull," Binotto stressed when asked a question on the subject. "We have a fair fight. It was more to show to the FIA that we don't quite agree with the inconsistency of the decisions they are making this season."

Binotto agrees that Ferrari did not have the strongest performance of the season in Monaco, but at the same time stresses that everyone must continue to have the confidence needed to deliver a top performance. According to the team boss, Ferrari has all it takes to continue fighting for the top places.

Leclerc impresses in Baku

Charles Leclerc gave the team hope in the second free practice in Azerbaijan. The Monegasque drove an excellent time again and seems to be on his way to pole position. After the practice sessions Leclerc even let it be known that there was still plenty of room for improvement.
