After the Miami Grand Prix, there was some disappointment at Ferrari, who had high hopes for the race in which Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz started from the front row. Team boss Mattia Binotto alludes to updates at the next race on the calendar in Barcelona.
Earlier, Binotto indicated that Red Bull Racing will have to stop developing once, after the Austrian racing stable already came up with significant updates at Imola. "We follow the changes Red Bull makes every race and estimate the cost. So far they have spent more than we have," he concluded in conversation with Corriere della Sera.
Ferrari wants to bring updates to Barcelona
According to the Ferrari team boss, Red Bull currently has the faster car, but the difference is bridgeable. "Our developments are coming," he assured. He cites the Spanish Grand Prix as the weekend when Ferrari hopes to bring in the first major updates.
"It will be an important package, but not the most important of the season," continued Binotto, who describes the updates as the first in a series of long-term innovations. Before he can say for sure that Ferrari will take the updates to Barcelona, however, the team wants to make sure that the developments work as planned.
