Verstappen under pressure from Leclerc: 'A mistake is quickly made here'

After the Miami Grand Prix, the drivers looked tired. Max Verstappen seemed to need some time to recover from his victory and during the post-race press conference he explained how tough it was.
The first Grand Prix of Miami was exciting until the last lap. In the hot Florida weather the drivers were put to the test. Due to a late safety car, the drivers could not quietly roll to the finish, but they still fought for every place. Charles Leclerc came close to Verstappen in the final phase of the race.
Tough conditions in Miami
"He was trying everything to try and have a go. And it was not easy, of course, to stay ahead because it's easy to make a mistake around here in certain places," said Verstappen after the race. The pressure from Leclerc only made it harder for the Red Bull driver, as the conditions were tough enough to race in themselves.
''It's very hot in Sector 2 as well. And of course, because this is a day race, with the sun out there, it makes it really hot. So I was very happy once we always got to the straight because that gave you a bit of air. Also in the Safety Car just clicking your visor one step up, you know to have a bit more air coming it was pretty nice," concluded the reigning world champion.
