Charles Leclerc will be hunting for his third win of the season this weekend in Imola. According to Lawrence Barretto, the Monegasque has a good chance of doing so, with Leclerc also able to go for a record.

During the opening race in Bahrain, Leclerc proved to be a driver that the competition should take into account this season. The driver managed to keep Max Verstappen behind him for the entire ire race, thereby taking the victory. Whereas in Saudi Arabia he then grabbed the second final spot, in Australia he again managed to emerge victorious.

Leclerc looks like the big favourite in Imola

With those performances, he managed to be the frontrunner in the world championship. Leclerc is tens of points ahead of the competition and can therefore afford to make a misstep. However, this coming weekend he seems to be going for another victory.

"The circuit should suit the F1-75, which will feature no major upgrades this weekend but has a class-leading power unit that packs plenty of grunt," the journalist writes on Formula1.com. "Leclerc is favourite to continue his fine run, which includes a 14-race finishing streak, tying the longest active streak with Lando Norris."
