Ferrari, after a free weekend, is preparing for the Imola Grand Prix scheduled for the end of the week. While the Italian racing stable seems to be the favorite for victory, Ferrari has to watch out for rival Red Bull Racing.

The team of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is Ferrari's biggest competitor for the time being, but technical problems prevented it from dropping out several times. It caused Verstappen to retire twice, while Perez did so once. The difference between leader Charles Leclerc and the Dutchman has now increased to 46 points.

Red Bull wants to fight back quickly

Given that the Austrians are now quite a bit behind Ferrari, it seems to be high time for Red Bull to make rapid progress. According to Chris Medland, Ferrari should therefore not count themselves rich before next weekend, he writes on Formula1.com.

"Teams can face teething issues at the start of a new set of regulations," Medland states. "But Red Bull will be keen to find some reliability as quickly as possible before the early frustrations evolve into an even bigger problem."
