'Collaboration between Red Bull and Porsche would be refreshing'

The Volkswagen Group will almost certainly enter Formula 1 from 2026. There is a good chance that Porsche will enter into a partnership with Red Bull Racing, a plan that Gerhard Berger likes. He tells this in conversation with Motorsport.com.
The Austrian racing team worked successfully with Honda in recent years. The Japanese engine supplier even managed to build an engine that allowed Max Verstappen to win the world title last season. It was immediately the end of the cooperation between both parties.
Last calendar year the team announced that it wanted to build its own engine under the name Red Bull Powertrains. Behind the scenes it will get the necessary help from Honda. Starting in 2026, Red Bull hopes to take the next step with Porsche when the new engine rules come into effect.
Berger is happy with possible cooperation
It seems Berger would be a good plan if both parties could come to an agreement with each other. The former Formula 1 driver states that he is counting on a very successful cooperation in which the two brands will strengthen each other. He calls the collaboration something 'refreshing' in the motorsport class.
