The Saudi Arabia Grand Prix is just around the corner. The Formula One circus still travels to Jeddah for the race in the coming years, but in the future, the race should be held in Qiddiya, where a track is being built 'without restrictions.'

New circuit in Qiddiya

The Minister of Sports in Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, let it be known at MotorsportWeek.com that the new track being built in Qiddiya will be more than just an ordinary race track. This is due to the permission of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. According to Al-Faisal, his words were, "whatever is in your wildest dreams — let’s make it a reality."

The promoters of the Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia have had a lot of contact with Formula One. The organizers want to build the ultimate Formula One facility in Qiddiya. "And it will be more than just a racetrack," Al-Faisal informed.
