Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri insisted that Ferrari is not in a panic over its awful start to the 2019 Formula 1 season.

Rivals Mercedes has taken five back-to-back one-two finishes while Ferrari is almost 100 points adrift in the championship standings.

While Italian media insists there is a crisis at Maranello under new team principal Mattia Binotto, Camilleri reaffirmed his belief in the new team boss and added that the team would "find solutions" to the issues it's facing currently.

“There is no panic. My job is to prevent rumours from spreading, so now is the time to close ranks,” Camilleri explained to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I am sure he will find a solution. Now we are having two important test days and I am sure that we can recover quickly.

“I do not have a crystal ball so I cannot say when we will find a solution, but I am sure that this testing will help.”

Despite the positive outlook from the Ferrari man, he did admit that the Monaco Grand Prix could be a repeat of their Spanish woes having seen the impressive pace from Mercedes in the final sector at the Circuit de Catalunya.

“There are a lot of narrow and slow turns similar to the third sector in Barcelona where we had problems all weekend.”
