Jos Verstappen has revealed that Max Verstappen was not completely satisfied after the test days in Bahrain. The reigning world champion's feeling in the Red Bull car was still optimal on Wednesday at the Bahrain International Circuit, but after that said feeling did not come back. The Red Bull Racing driver's father appeared on Radio Joe to talk about the upcoming Formula One season, and said it was hard to say where Red Bull stands at the moment.
Ahead of a Formula One season, the paddock went to Bahrain for a three-day pre-season test. "You just don't know where you stand. I hope it will be an exciting season for everyone, and that a couple of teams are on par, then it will be exciting," Jos said on the radio. He then elaborated on his son Max, and how he envisions the upcoming season.

"The first day of testing Max was super satisfied. Then they changed parts again and you name it. Then he found the feeling a bit less with the car. Then they went back to how he was on Wednesday, but he didn't get the feeling he had on Wednesday anymore. That just makes it harder to figure out where you stand," the former Formula One driver explained.
Jos was asked whether Red Bull might not have worked hard enough over the winter. "Yes, or that they don't quite understand the problem, what's wrong, and then they haven't done the right things [to fix the issue]," he said. The now rally driver, was then asked for his son's opinion on his 2025 car, to which Jos' reply was revealing: "Well, let me put it this way, he was not satisfied."
