Verstappen makes revelation: 'That's the only moment you really learn from'
- Nicole Mulder
Max Verstappen made his Formula 1 debut at the age of 16. As a teenager, he still had a lot to learn and space to grow. Now that he is older and has 10 years under his belt, does he have some advice he to give his younger self?
Verstappen has no advice for younger self
While Team Redline was participating in the virtual 24 hours of Daytona, Verstappen took some questions from the audience on Twitch. It was through these questions that we found out about his new dachshund, how he deals with pressure from competition and what his best F1 race is.
He was also asked about what advice he would give to his younger self as he has more knowledge now than he did back then. His answer? He wouldn't. He said, “Honestly, I wouldn't give any advice”
Despite many people who would help their younger selves out, the Red Bull Racing driver thinks the opposite. “Because at the end of the day, you have to make mistakes in life. You have to learn it sometimes the hard way. If you would know everything in advance, I think that would be very boring. At the end of the day, once you've done it, that's the only time that you will change it or you learn from it.”
