It appears that Sergio Perez' days as a Red Bull Racing driver have come to an end. According to Mexican sources the team and driver are currently in negotiations to finalise his exit from the Austrian outfit, however the official announcement could be a while yet.

'Red Bull negotiates with Perez to buy out his contract'

Red Bull's Chief advisor, Helmut Marko, stated that the Milton Keynes based team would make the announcement on their decision regarding both of the team's next season driver lineups, Red Bull Racing and Visa Cash App RB, after Yuki Tsunoda's RB20 outing on Tuesday during the post Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Pirelli tyre test. However said communication is still to be issued by the Austrian outfit's official channels. Despite Perez' continued claims to his seat due to his 2025 contract, rumours and statements from high ranking officials within the team such as Marko himself, and Red Bull team boss, Christian Horner, point to an early exite by the Mexican driver from the team's ranks.

Mexican journal, Record, reports that both the team and the driver have now entered negotiations to buy out Perez contract, thus bringing an end to the up to now, four year tenure of the driver of the #11 car at Red Bull. It is suggested that Perez himself would be open to that, but with the impending Christmas off season looming in the near future, the announcement could be a while yet
