Red Bull Racing was very dominant in the third free practice session. Sergio Perez ended the session with the fastest time and Max Verstappen was second. Lewis Hamilton finished the session third and couldn't believe his ears when Bono told him Red Bull was so much faster.

The seven-time world champion was given a fright when his engineer told him he was six tenths behind Perez. The difference between Red Bull Racing and Mercedes was manageable in the first and second free practice sessions, but in the third free practice session the Milton Keynes-based team made up for lost time. Hamilton clearly didn't think the difference would be this big and he will be looking to close the gap in qualifying.
