Mick Schumacher seems on his way to a Formula 1 seat in 2020. The German drove a test in Fiorano on Wednesday in front of Ferrari and explains in a video by Peter Windsor what this has contributed to his development.
It is now a public secret that Mick Schumacher will drive for Alfa Romeo in 2021. The son of the legendary Michael Schumacher is the Ferrari talent at the top of the Formula 2 championship and will be in action at the Nürburgring during the first free practice session for the Eifel Grand Prix.
Schumacher to Formula 1
On Wednesday, however, Schumacher, together with Callum Ilott and Robert Shwartzman, was able to test the hybrid cars. Schumacher already drove a few laps in old cars of his father, but this is something different. ''This is very useful and I would also like to thank Ferrari for it. This gives me the opportunity to learn more about the car so that I know how to drive it."
Next week Schumacher will be in action during the first free practice in Germany. ''This gives me more confidence to drive the Nürburgring. I am really looking forward to it. You are allowed to drive in your own country and work with people with whom I worked with my father before, so that gives me a chance to better understand their way of working," concludes Schumacher.
