Classic Sainz: "This was the 'smoothest operation' of my life"
Carlos Sainz recorded his first Formula 1 pole position at the Brazilian Grand Prix. But that doesn't tell the full story. The McLaren driver started from the back of the grid after engine troubles in the qualifying. During the race, he managed to climb through the field and finish in P3.

Understandably so, Sainz was pretty happy when he crossed the line. Of course, at the time he didn't know he had finished on the podium because he had to wait to find out the result of a Lewis Hamilton penalty and then an investigation of his own.
Sainz sings his classic "smooth operator" and adds "I think that was the smoothest opperation of my life."
