Yuki Tsunoda is the first retirement from the Mexican Grand Prix. The Japanese driver was battling Daniel Ricciardo for 11th position, but after a hard collision, Tsunoda had to park his AlphaTauri in the garage.

The Mexico GP has been fairly quiet so far, but in lap 51 of 71, Ricciardo and Tsunoda clash for 11th position. On steering in, the Australian hits Tsunoda's car, sending the AlphaTauri driver into the air and damaging his front wing, floor and sidepods.

Big time penalty for Ricciardo

Tsunoda comes in to replace his front wing, but the damage appears to be extensive. This makes the AlphaTauri driver the first dropout in Mexico. The stewards decide to give Ricciardo a 10-second time penalty for the incident. The Australian is currently still driving in the points.
