Charles Leclerc crashed out last weekend during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix with engine problems. Although Ferrari worked hard this week to find a solution, the Monegasque states in front of Viaplay's camera that the problem is not over yet.

Leclerc is hoping to be able to strike a blow against Max Verstappen in Canada. The Dutchman ran further ahead in the world championship in recent weeks and would only widen that gap with a win in Canada. For Leclerc, however, there is a greater challenge.

Namely, the driver must hope that he and his Ferrari get through the weekend well. "We know what was going on last Sunday," Leclerc explains. "We're not going to be able to fix that before this weekend. It's going to take time, but I'm confident. Because I know that the team is giving two hundred percent. It will be solved as soon as possible."

No grid penalty for Leclerc as yet

His team changed several parts in his engine before the GP in Montreal, but decided not to use a new turbo for the time being. It undoubtedly provides a relief to Leclerc, as otherwise a grid penalty of ten places is hanging over his head.
