Max Verstappen was asked about Lewis Hamilton's flexible rear wing after his second place in qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix. While the press openly wonders if the title race is still fair, the Dutchman clearly avoids the question.

Red Bull Racing has suspected for some time that Mercedes are not acting according to the rules. A clever trick with the rear wing would have given Hamilton a big advantage over Verstappen, which is why the Austrian racing team came to the FIA earlier to provide evidence. Verstappen, however, does not yet dare to draw any conclusions.

"That's hard to know. It's not just about what's to come, but also about what has already happened and what they've driven with in the previous races," he responded in conversation with Motorsport.com. "At least we have images of it and because of that the attention has been drawn to it now. Let's hope that at least until the end of this season we can have a nice fight."

Verstappen positions himself between Mercedes

Verstappen managed to get between the two Mercedes cars during qualifying. It means Hamilton will start the race on pole position, Verstappen will start in second and Valtteri Bottas will follow in third. Perez came no further than eleventh place.
