Verstappen to FIA for touching Hamilton rear wing
- GPblog.com
Lewis Hamilton managed to secure first place during qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix, but later on the news came that Mercedes had suffered a DRS infringement. The FIA has not made a decision yet, but it is known that Max Verstappen has to report to the stewards today as well.
Last night Mercedes reported to race control around 11:15pm, but soon after it was announced that the decision will be made today instead of yesterday. The FIA is waiting for more evidence and they won't get it until this morning, as the seven-time World Champion's rear wing has to be taken off with an FIA technical delegate present.
Verstappen must come forward
The other big development surrounding the DRS violation is that Verstappen has to report to the stewards today, at 12:30 British time to be precise. Yesterday a video showed Verstappen touching the rear wing of the Mercedes car which is not allowed according to the regulations. Mercedes could use this as a counter argument.
