Red Bull Racing managed to get both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez on the podium during the Mexican Grand Prix. As a result, the Austrian team is almost level with competitor Mercedes in the Constructors' Championship.

The gap to the German team is just one point, giving Mercedes something to defend in Brazil next week. Red Bull's overtaking is largely due to Valtteri Bottas' poor start. The Finn started the race at the front in Mexico but had to let Verstappen go ahead at the first corner. Bottas then suffered an accident and continued the GP from the back of the grid.

Ferrari managed to take over the third position from McLaren thanks to strong performances from Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. Furthermore, AlphaTauri is in a tie with Alpine after the Mexico GP. Both teams have 106 points with six races to go.
