Horner sees pattern at Mercedes: "We saw that in Austin as well"

Just like in the United States, Mercedes starts the weekend of the Mexican Grand Prix with the fastest time in the first free practice session. In Austin, the team did so with a second ahead of Red Bull Racing, but today the difference is considerably smaller. Christian Horner sees a pattern emerging among his rivals.
He let this be known during the press conference to the likes of Motorsport-Magazin.com. "We could see that in the fast laps they were driving with a slightly higher power setting. We saw that in Austin as well, " the Briton said.
Horner answers question about team orders
Horner also answers a frequently asked question: Can Sergio Perez take victory in Mexico? "That's tricky. Our ultimate goal is to win both championships. The drivers know that, " explains the Red Bull team boss.
The Mexico Grand Prix is no exception. "There is no finer result than a win for the local hero, but as a team we have to look at both drivers. There are as many points distributed at this race as at any other race, so we treat it that way."
