Helmut Marko believes Red Bull Racing should win in Mexico and Brazil. According to the Austrian team's advisor, Lewis Hamilton will also receive a new engine for the final few races and therefore a grid penalty.

With two races on the clock, Red Bull Racing now have two Grands Prix in a row to win. The last three races are perhaps more in favor of Mercedes with their power and so there must be a win in Mexico and Brazil. Preferably by Max Verstappen of course.

Victory for Red Bull Racing

''Yes. It should actually be a double victory. The altitude (in Brazil) is comparable to the Red Bull Ring. In Austin, we saw that Mercedes' superiority disappears when we get the car in the right 'window'. In Sochi and Turkey it had a lot to do with the tyre temperature,'' says Marko at Auto, Motor und Sport.

The current state of affairs is that we are just behind Mercedes in terms of engine performance. With their lowered rear suspension they have an advantage on long straights. In the case of the chassis, it depends on the form of the day. The superiority we had from France is gone.''

Penalty for Hamilton

So it is still close for the final races, but reliability also plays an important role. The possibility of a new engine for Hamilton has already been discussed and Marko confirms this rumour. Red Bull are assuming that Hamilton will get another penalty, while they hope to continue with the current engine until the end of the season.

''In normal races and without accidents, we can get away with our engines. Our information, our hope, is that Hamilton will have to switch to a new engine again. So far we have been absolutely reliable with the Honda engine. You are never immune to a breakdown, but the engine situation is certainly more reassuring on the Honda side than on the Mercedes side,'' Marko concludes.
