Building relationship with Red Bull was difficult for Perez: "I feel at home now"

Last weekend the Japanese Grand Prix should have been held, but due to the coronavirus, it was cancelled. Honda did organise a special Q&A session on their YouTube Channel, where Japanese fans could ask questions to Red Bull Racing drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez.
Verstappen is already in his hotel room at the circuit, but Pérez attends the Q&A in a car. He has a particular reason for this: "We managed to get to the wrong airport, so we are still on our way to the circuit," he explains.
Perez had trouble meeting everyone because of COVID
The first question for the Mexican is: As a newcomer to the team, how did you bond with your teammate and your crew? "That was a bit of a challenge, especially because of COVID," Pérez begins. "Because of that, it wasn't as easy to interact with people."
"That made it a bit more difficult. I put a lot of work into meeting everyone outside of the factory, because that was very difficult at the time. I think after about six months I had met everyone," continued the Red Bull driver, who now feels completely at home within the team. "I've been enjoying it a lot, it's a great group of people and I really feel at home right now," concludes Pérez.
