In May 2022, Formula 1 will travel to the United States for the first-ever Grand Prix of Miami. If we are to believe the organizer, this is going to be a huge event and there are many people showing interest in the event.

Beckham and Formula 1

According to organizer Tom Garfinkel there are many celebrities that show interest in the Grand Prix. "We have already received a lot of phone calls. I expect a big turnout of celebrities from all over the world for this event. There is a big celebrity culture in Miami."

One of those celebrities is English footballer David Beckham. "It's a funny story - David and I have a mutual friend. He called and said David wants to meet me and get involved in Formula One racing. So we went out to dinner last week. David is very excited to come to the event." In what way Beckham will then be involved in the event is not clear.

Grand Prix becomes a kind of Disneyland

The track for the Miami Grand Prix will run around the stadium of American football team Miami Dolphins, of which Garfinkel is the president. "I think it creates a lot of unique opportunities. We've built in premium spaces and clubs and areas for people to enjoy. Plus, you can walk all around the top of the stadium and see every corner of the track. The view of every corner of the track is really unique."

Either way, it should be a unique experience for Formula One fans. "It's going to be like Disneyland with different things to do and different things to experience. Whether that's for families, for 25-year-olds who want to have a party and have a DJ, for companies in America to entertain customers and for hardcore F1 fans."
