This season the Netherlands organised a Formula 1 race for the first time in decades. The Dutch Grand Prix proved to be a great success, as Hans Erik Tuijt also noticed. The Director Global Heineken Sponsorship is proud that the brand has been part of the racing sport for five years now.
Tuijt admits in conversation with Motorsport.com that he was nervous to organize the event. "I had driven to Belgium a week before the Dutch Grand Prix to see how the corona measures were applied there," he states. "In Spa it was raining and it was one big misery in terms of traffic. When I drove back I was a bit worried. But a week later it all ran like clockwork."
According to Tuijt, this was due to several components. "My compliments to the organization of the Dutch Grand Prix. And of course Max Verstappen did a great job that weekend. I think that race reunited the Netherlands. I personally found that the best part of the weekend in Zandvoort."
