FIA alters timetable Sochi because of heavy rain, F3-race cancelled
- GPblog.com
The FIA has changed the schedule for Saturday in Sochi. The third free practice for Formula 1 had already been cancelled, but in an update the organisation states that there will be no more driving at all until the start of qualifying.
Sochi timetable changed
This means that the Formula 3 race will not take place, and the Formula 2 race will start 45 minutes after the end of qualifying (if there are no further delays). For now, qualifying is scheduled to start at 15:00 local time.
The latest reports say that the weather seems to be improving, but that especially the air traffic is still hampered. This would prevent the medical helicopter from flying, which is a requirement for the FIA to allow the session to take place.
UPDATE: There will be no track action until #F1 qualifying has taken place.
